We are proud to serve our community through various philanthropic activities and projects that promote historic preservation, education, and patriotism. Our Daughters devote time and resources to the projects and activities below.

Christian Waldschmidt Homestead

The homestead is a historic property owned and maintained by the Ohio State Society DAR. Our chapter members often volunteer here.

Israel Ludlow Monument

Our chapter erected the monument in 1916 to commemorate the historic spot where  Ludlow, the surveyor who planned out Cincinnati, had built a blockhouse in 1791.

“We believe that the history is important to the Northside community and take pride in keeping the monument in good shape,” says past regent Gretchen Wilson.

Heritage Village Museum Revolutionary War Patriots Marker – Sharonville, Ohio

Our chapter dedicated this marker on August 15, 2021, in honor of the 250th anniversary of the United States.

Marker Text: This marker commemorates the men and women who achieved American independence. These Patriots, believing in the noble cause of liberty, fought valiantly to found a new nation. 1775-1783

Wreaths Across America

Every December, we participate in Wreaths Across America at Spring Grove Cemetery. Remembrance wreaths are placed to remember and honor veterans through the laying on the graves of our country’s fallen heroes and the act of saying the name of each and every veteran aloud.
